U.S. Army mTBI Concussion Project

The Army Concussion Course is a training and awareness suite developed on behalf of the Office of the Surgeon General’s (OTSG) Rehabilitation and Reintegration Directorate (R2D). The course supports the ongoing effort to manage Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) in the Army, which is a key component of the Office of the Surgeon General’s (OTSG) mission and strategy.

The Army Concussion Course was designed to serve four key audiences in the training, tracking, and treatment of concussion management. Through highly engaging film scenarios, interactive knowledge checks, and in-product host mentors, the target audiences that include Soldiers and Leaders, Medics, Primary Care Providers, and Healthcare Providers receive the latest information and skills to assess and treat concussion in both deployed and garrison settings. The Office of the Surgeon General has designated this product series as ‘mandatory’ training for all active duty and reserve Soldiers with an estimated audience of over 500,000 Service members.
